Scopus Values and Mission Statement
The mission of Mount Scopus Memorial College is to provide each student with an education and an environment that
- promotes excellence in learning and academic achievement by means of inquiry and critical thinking and by creating a desire for lifelong learning
- enables holistic development for all students by offering a wide range of activities, inside and outside of the classroom
- provides Jewish learning, values and experiences, within a Modern Orthodox and Zionist framework, that enable each student to make an informed choice as to the meaning of their Jewish identity
- develops the notions of community and service by engendering values, knowledge and skills so that students can play their full part in their communities – as members of the College, as Jews, as Australians and as citizens of the world.
Mount Scopus Memorial College aims to provide a high-quality schooling to all of its students,

As an IB school, the College is bound by the Mission Statement of the International Baccalaureate Organisation:
The International Baccalaureate Organisation aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
To this end the IBO works with schools, governments and international organisations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment.
These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.
